For the second straight season, Turner South and the Atlanta Braves are hosting My South Rocks, an ongoing live music series at Turner Field for the Atlanta Braves 2005 season. Rock Solid Entertainment has been asked to be the exclusive talent buyer for the event. Sponsored by 96 Rock and Comcast, the 13-part music series will once again take place one hour before every Friday night home game in the Braves Fan Plaza.
Turner Field gates open at 5:05 p.m. All Friday home games begin at 7:35 p.m. Concerts will begin at 6 p.m. For the second straight season, Turner South and the Atlanta Braves host My South Rocks, an ongoing live music series at Turner Field for the 2005 season. Sponsored by 96 Rock and Comcast, the 13-part music series takes place one hour before every Friday night home game in the Braves Fan Plaza. Staying true to Turner South's support of homegrown Southern music, the My South Rocks series features popular, regional musicians and bands. The 2005 series is our most diverse line-up yet and continues to showcase up-and-coming and veteran Southern artists. With rock, hip-hop, Latin, New Orleans funk, Americana, pop and country, My South Rocks is a great sampling of all the best musical genres made famous by the South. Additionally, the 2005 roster also includes regional winners from the My South Rocks competitions held during My South on Tour in 2004, including Zac Brown (Birmingham), Free Sol (Memphis) and Sam Thacker (Charleston) and Tim Brantley from the 2005 March Bandness competition (Atlanta). The 2006 My South Rocks Concert Series with the Atlanta Braves will be announced in March or April of 2006.
