The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-Off began in 1981 as a fun way to showcase the south's best amateur chefs, and as an event to bring people together for a great cause. The inaugural event drew nearly 1000 folks as far away as Tennessee and as near as Stone Mountain . The inaugural event had a grand total of 15 teams.

This year, The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-Off, presented by Aaron 's Sales and Lease, will host its 29 th Cook-Off. The event is expected to draw over 300 teams from across the United States . It is the premier Chili Cook-Off east of Texas . Total Attendance for last year exceeded 12,000 attendees, filling up the meadow at Stone Mountain Park . The Cook-Off has something for all ages, from great music to great food and games for the whole family.

This year's event will take place on September 27 th at the Coliseum Meadow at Stone Mountain Park . 100% of all proceeds made at The Great Miller Lite Chili Cook-Off go to support Camp Twin Lakes .
