BIOGRAPHY
Remember when the song “Take It Easy” first graced radios across the nation, you got a strange feeling on the back of your neck, and you just knew this was a musical sound you could not ignore? It was clean acoustic electric guitar artistry, topped off with sweet, sweet vocal harmonies – it all really caught you by surprise. The year was 1972, America was still struggling with a war in a place called Viet Nam… riots and protests on the evening news each day… and The Eagles began their journey down the fast lane.
Spread Eagle: Tribute To The Eagles formed out of passion for the music The Eagles brought to us over the past 35 years. They have endeavored to re-create the fantastic musical and vocal sound of The Eagles… and, they've succeeded by all accounts! Spread Eagle: Tribute To The Eagles puts on an Eagles Concert you'll not soon forget!
This band has by far captured the essence of The Eagles in every song they play. From the ballads such as Desperado, Wasted Time, I can't Tell You Why, and Best Of My Love, to the country rock songs like Lyin' Eyes, Take It Easy, Peaceful Easy Feeling, and Tequila Sunrise, and to their power house rock hits like Hotel California, Life In The Fast Lane, Get Over It, and Victim Of Love, Spread Eagle plays the very best of them all. In addition to that core material, they also play the hits from the solo careers of Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Glenn Frey.
The long-awaited new double-CD release of ‘Long Road Out Of Eden' put the band back out on the radio and in music videos in late 2007. Several songs have already become popular, and one of them was nominated for Best Vocal Group Of The Year at the ACM awards and two nominations at the 2008 CMT awards. Spread Eagle has begun to play several of these new songs, with more on the way.
Their show is an all-appealing “rockacoustoelectric” show - no screaming, jumping off stages, guitar smashing, mosh pits, or profane language. The music of The Eagles appeals to most all ages, and is suitable for any group of people, and it is family friendly too.
Spread Eagle has played the east coast, and as far west as Texas, at venues both large and small. Based out of New England, the band plays regionally and nationally. They have pledged to become an internationally sought after act!
After forming way back in 2001, the band worked hard at trying to find the right formulas… the right personnel. It finally happened in early 2004, they found the right recipe and worked towards becoming a solid and credible Eagles Tribute Band.
